Herbs for Stress and Resilience
A sliding scale class and fundraiser for the St. James Infirmary
Tuesday September 22, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm PST
Suggested donation: $15 - 35, with no one turned away for lack of funds

As we move through these remarkable times, we have all adapted mechanisms to maintain resilience when in the face of stress, while also carrying ancestral trauma and ancestral learning. In this workshop we will explore our stress responses and work to shift responses that do not continue to support our wellbeing. We will cover plant medicines for nervous system support; for specific physical, spiritual, and emotional manifestations of stress, anxiety, and depression; for protection and for healing underlying trauma and other root causes of emotional imbalance.

St. James Infirmary is a peer-based occupational health and safety clinic for sex workers of all genders. Serving the San Francisco Bay Area, it is their mission to meet the needs of people engaged in the sex trade through advocacy, direct services, and social justice. They are loved and respected by community for the breadth of services they provide, including a community mental health program, primary care, trans health, HIV and STI testing and counseling, and a needle exchange. This year (their 20th!) St. James’ fundraising is focused on fighting for the equity of sex workers and trans people of color. Learn more and donate at www.stjamesinfirmary.org.
